What is MultiSIM?
MultiSIM allows you to buy multiple eSIMs in one order and manage them from a single Yesim account. This is useful if you are buying eSIMs for yourself, your family, your friends or for a trip with multiple people. All purchased eSIMs are added to your account, where they can be managed through the Yesim app or the web version.
How many eSIMs can you buy at one time?
When purchasing a plan, you can choose the number of eSIMs from 1 to 10 in one order. Within one order, all eSIMs will belong to the same destination and will have the same plan parameters: volume, validity period and activation date. If you purchase several eSIMs, they are created as separate new profiles.
How to buy multiple eSIMs
- Open the desired plan.
- On the purchase screen, select the number of eSIMs.
- Specify how many eSIMs you want to buy – from 1 to 10.
- Finalize the payment.
After payment, each eSIM will be created separately and added to your Yesim account. Each eSIM must be activated separately.
Where to find purchased eSIMs
After purchase, all eSIMs appear in your Yesim account. You can view them:
- in the Yesim mobile app;
- in the web version of the Yesim account.
To manage multiple eSIMs, a screen with the Active and Archive lists is used. Active eSIMs are displayed under “Active” and archived eSIMs are displayed under “Archive”.
What you can do with multiple eSIMs in one account
From your Yesim account you can manage each eSIM separately. Basic actions are available for each eSIM:
- replenishment;
- archiving;
- renaming.
If your plan supports top-up, you can top up from your eSIM card or via the “Buy Plan Again” button. When you top up, the new plan replaces your current plan, but the remaining traffic volume and validity period are not added together. Archiving is done manually. Renaming helps you quickly understand which eSIM belongs to whom.
We recommend renaming the eSIM
If you have several eSIMs in one account, it is better to give each one a clear name. For example: “My phone”, “Dad”, “Anna”, “Trip to Italy”.
This will help you find the right eSIM faster, avoid confusion in the list and understand which eSIM you need to top up, install or send to another person. The internal MultiSIM description explicitly recommends using unique names for easy identification.
How to share an eSIM with a friend or family member
Once you have purchased an eSIM, you can:
- Install it on your device;
- send it to another person.
There are two ways to share an eSIM:
1.Via the “Send eSIM” button
Yesim creates a unique link for a specific eSIM. This link can be sent via messenger, email or any other convenient way.
2.Via QR code
You can open the QR code on your screen and the other person will just scan it and start the installation.
The transfer link contains everything you need for installation: QR code and instructions. A separate link is created for each eSIM.
How a friend activates the received eSIM
If you send the eSIM via a link, the recipient needs to open it and follow the installation instructions. If you show a QR code, the recipient simply scans it with their device and goes through the standard eSIM installation.
Important: One eSIM cannot be installed on more than one device at the same time. It is bound to the first device on which it was installed.
Is the Yesim App required for eSIM installation?
No, the Yesim app is not necessary for the eSIM installation itself.
The app and web account are primarily needed to manage your eSIM: to view the list, top up, archive and rename it. But if you share your eSIM with another person, they can install it without an app – the link or QR code you sent them is enough.
It’s important to know
If you have transferred an eSIM to another person, the recipient will be able to install it, but you (the buyer) will still manage this eSIM in the Yesim account. The account owner who made the purchase will also receive notifications about this eSIM.
